he was offered $750K by UCLA and decided to come back? It's a bit confusing but I doubt we can offer that much to 1 player unless a donor and/or sponsor stepped up just to present a NIL package for Toia. Hope they fix the wording so it's clear.
We seem to be fairly competitive according to this recent tweet talking about Oklahoma players getting $26K but for every player, not the $25K just for 1st stringers like CDF announced. Don't like the 1st/2nd/development stringer system as there might be jealousies and guys rooting for injuries to guys above them and accusations of favoritism by coaches so not sure that will create a good team atmosphere after thinking about it.
OU has one of the highest per player NIL football pay in the country. Every player not on an NIL contract gets a minimum of $26,000 a year over and above their scholarships. So far I don’t think they are getting the bang for the buck. Guess what, I don’t feel bad about that.
