I didn't make much of the Speight thing, but when recruiting failed in year 2 it was clear that players weren't just coming because of Chip's credentials. And his complete failure with the 49ers was something that stuck with me too.
And then when he started spewing BS about "measurables" I really started to wonder. When someone says they have a 'hack' to a system that's been in place for a long time, your antennae starts twitching.
In a weird way, it reminds me of Weiss at ND, and his "decided schematic advantage." Whomp-whomp.
