IMO, he really just wants to coach, design and call plays...and win. Kinda what his job duties were at Oregon, even though he was the head coach. He can do that at Ohio State and he likes and trusts his boss. He'll have pressure Day 1, fans are nuts in Columbus, but he realizes that. And lets face it, HC at UCLA is not a great position right now and it would be even worse for Chip, as compared to a new HC, if he stayed. Especially for 2024, he's much more likely to be happier in Columbus than Westwood.
