Agree with all of your points. If we want to be a better program, it will start with getting a better NIL budget, not getting a better coach. The fallacy is that somehow the coach has a direct influence over the NIL budget. Nope. That's not a thing. Jimbo Fisher at aTm was a gregarious, backslapping expert "recruiter" who paid out for gobs of talent and went .500. The money was there all the while and still is. Ucla won't ever be aTm or its ilk, but we need to step up our NIL game.
