Too late in the college hiring cycle for obvious choices like Fisch or UCLA alum Brennan - or the big ticket big price tag names. Such a move now would (A) save UCLA the cost of a big buyout after next year and (B) create an opportunity to find a really talented up and comer and still give him time for his honeymoon period to absorb his first couple seasons in which to establish his program. Plus his lower individual price tag would leave a lot more money left over to hire him a true top level staff, perhaps bring in one or two high level experienced "analysts" to help him build his program. Maybe FORCE us to do things the right way
