I've been planning to go to Baton Rouge since that game was scheduled. Planning to rent an AirBnB there w/ a cousin who went to LSU and have a couple other friends that would meet me there. But, dang, LSU fans are reputedly the *worst*, even LSU people say that. Just don't know if I can sit through that, with what our D projects to be. I'm waiting on the 2nd Portal period to make plans.
The one advantage we have with the early games (I haven't looked at the schedule to see which is played when) is quarter system. First month of the football season the guys have nothing to do but eat/drink/sleep football. I've always felt we play better during the first month because of that.
But, if we're going to be perpetually dependent on the portal for personel, there will always be a few "Hello, My Name Is" games at the beginning of the season.
