Regardless of whether Disneyland opens new rides or whatever, minimum wage and labor rates went up in California on Jan. 1. Disneyland just like everyone else is going to charge more to cover those costs. Fast food prices have gone up everywhere I see. Movies go up in price every month. Whether you want to believe it or not, overhead costs are a major factor.
As far as the other increases, I guess it is to try to decrease the sizes of crowds during peak season.
As far as overall price, I don't even think I could go to a baseball game for less then $60 in Anaheim. I'd guess $100 is probably close to the low end to see a game and that is for 3 hours of entertainment? What's Disneyland? $150? For a whole day and into the night? Which do you remember longer? I can't even go to a hockey game in Vegas for that price.
Yes capitalism exists. Yes Disney costs more including their cruises. But, it sure seems people get more out of Disney products then their competitors.
