So I was looking around different Ucla sites and saw the usual conversations about Ucla needing the on campus stadium. So I saw this link to an article from 1965. So with all the stories of Bel Air not letting it happen, Ucla admin messing it up, and so on, it looks like the students had a huge voice in approving it to move forward. Added cost to tuition so they voted 2-1 against it. Way before my time, but that chance looked like it could have happened quite a while ago. That cost really wasnít that much either when you look at it in todayís dollars.
Me personally, Iím fine with the Rose Bowl. Still my favorite Stadium Iíve ever been in. Plus I love Pasadena before and after games.
Guess when the conversation comes up again, need to really look at this from 1965.
