know of the conferences getting part of their schools' tourney earnings. Am I wrong to think the "Units'" MAKING THE FIELD OF 68 portion meritlessly*** favor$ the usual suspects ranking high in polls at a season's beginning and continuing to get poll votes based on the residue of that start -- and also of Eastern time zones and the amount of national TV coverage versus regional (or the Pc12 Network "quarantine") and even plus the benefit of having played each other, in creasing SOS etc.? I think the "have$" have enough and the "units" factor should be SHARED WITH EVERY D-1 conference equally. This reminds me of the 1% meme in politics. Even a Gonzaga or Butler (or Dayton) couldn't get anwhere, absent those poor sister "other" schools in their conference--who get peanut$, if even that.
***I mean like, 8, 9, 10 teams getting bids
