Cronin inherited a Cincy program that went 25-7 in 2004 and 25-8 in 2005, right before Cronin got there. So to say that he inherited a "depleted" program is absolute horesh*t. Just as he did at UCLA, Cronin inherited a very strong, very established program at Cincinnati, one that made 14(!) straight NCAA tourneys before Cronin arrived. In fact, Cronin didn't get to the NCAA tourney at Cincy until his 5th season there!
Say what you want about Alford, but he was better for UCLA recruiting than Cronin has ever been (or ever will be, it seems).
Gonna be very interesting to see you all defend Cronin after he disappoints us yet again this year. It's what he does best.
