It's frustrating that we now have this great prospect on the roster but that he's going to be coached by a guy with such a weak track record for developing talent. Unlike his predecessors at UCLA, Cronin's coaching has led to players regressing or stagnating over their Bruin careers. Kusturica is a Bruin because of what he's getting paid, and it remains to be seen how long he's willing to play for such a toxic, feckless head coach.
Hopefully the coaching change comes next summer, and Kusturica will decide to stay in Westwood through the 2027-28 season. If Cronin is still here at that point, it's very unlikely we'll get this guy for two seasons.
