Cronin is always optimistic this time of year as he should be IMO. A coach has to build up his team and provide confidence. This is part of that. Later he will need to tear down players' games to build them back up. That's difficult and often negative. To balance all of that he needs this period of positiveness.
With this team he has so many options to work with and the opportunity to play differently depending on the lineup he puts on the floor. That's a luxury coaches often don't have. And, with the possible exception at the 5 (unless they bring in a significant 5), this team is deep at every position. Another good thing coaches often don't have. This should be an interesting season and perhaps a highly successful one - although that part may be a year away. I'm excited to see what this team can be.
