Kansas had Darryn Peterson, who is projected to be the #1 pick in the NBA draft. He missed 11 games and played less than 25 minutes in seven other games. They lost several of them and may have had a higher seed if he had played. So his injuries did affect Kansas chances, even though he played in the tournament games.
