agree, Cachorro. I also recommend looking at Jonathan Lee's game story on the BRO homepage. I think Lee does an excellent job of analysis and writing on the women's games. I think he did one here also. He pointed out that Washington had no answer Mano-a-mano with us so they went to a five out spread the floor offense that worked to isolate our defenders (and operated very much as UConn did in taking us apart in the semifinals last season - and as they no doubt will this tournament as well should it come to that). That exposed our relative lack of quickness and minimized our height advantages at the same time.
The other thing was that we struggled shooting the ball - everyone who isn't Kneepkens, that is. We ate them alive underneath but for the most part shots that normally fall for us weren't hitting all night long. Those games will happen. You're absolutely right about energy and talent but we have to be smoother in our execution when teams spread the court against us. Love this team but there are steps that have to be taken before we get to the sudden death portion of the season and the opposition reaches the absolute peak of as good as it gets.
