Especially during difficult times. To humiliate the young man like that, in front of thousands speaks volumes about Mick’s shortcomings.
I’ve been a huge CMC supporter, but he lost me with that act. That’s not a leader of men, that’s a man obsessed with competing and nothing else.
He takes 0 responsibility for selecting these players, then complaining about how they’re not what he needs.
One thing stands out to me, Mick does not value superior talent. He wants guys that play beyond their skill, and IMHO, proving to him that guys LIKE HIM can win. He doesn’t know what to do with athletically superior, gifted players. The kind that used to be part of our squads.
We need a new leader. Someone that will GUIDE young men, LEAD them to success, and not ABANDON them when things get tough.
