situation for you, for me not so much.
I don't know if your plea was serious or not, but there is a "comical" aspect to this. But if you are serious let me say this:
First off, you are entirely entitled to your opinion, just as I am.
Secondly, I have great respect for the University of Michigan. My granddaughter graduated from there. My late mother-in-law attended the university. I've spent a lot of time on campus and in Ann Arbor since way back in the 80's. Ann Arbor is one of my my favorite college towns (and just towns) in the whole nation. I have friends who live there. As a gastronomical aside, one of the best deli's of all time is located there in Ann Arbor. My son-in-law is a rabid Michigan fan. I love the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor, their athletic department not so much.
Let's see, we're on a UCLA basketball team board and that team just got trounced by a Michigan team. That Michigan team is a product of an athletic department that has some unethical and PR issues of their own making. Those issues have logically led to perhaps deserved rumors and innuendoes and some of those issues may have had some connection to that trouncing.
Animus, or at least skepticism, toward that program and that department seems to me a proper response here on this board. I don't see a problem there. Now, with all due respect, if that causes you to sleep in the garage well that's a private issue for you and, not to be too harsh, is really of no concern to me and really way beyond the scope of this board even while out of respect for our gender I feel your pain.
To your last point, yes 23 is young but hardly a youngster. If I can accurately recall so many years ago when I was 23 I think I knew what was appropriate, responsible, and tasteful and the opposite. Apparently he realized his mistake, if we are to believe his and his coach's response, and kudos to him for that. But at that moment what he showed was a need to grow up and for that athletic department to do something to show that they too could act responsibly.
Now, if you weren't serious and totally tongue-in-cheek then never mind.
