for half the game. One of the signs of a weak team is the inability to sustain their effort for the whole game. Another aspect of a weak team is the inability to compensate for the part of their game that isn't working by strengthening other parts of their game. Once the Bruins' shots stopped dropping everything else fell apart, they stopped moving the ball, they forced shots, they tried too much hero ball, and they stopped defending (which they've never really been very good at that to start with).
So, Saturday we had a very good team playing against a potentially very good, but weak, team that can't afford to not play close to perfect in order to have a chance to win. The weak team played pretty well for a half and we saw the predictable result of playing half a game.
