has all but given up on Booker and to a lesser extent on Jamerson. Their potential remains, but right now Booker and again to a lesser extent Jamerson often prove to be more of a liability on the floor then a plus.

I truly think Cronin was completely caught off guard by Mara's transfer. I give Cronin credit to be able to suddenly scramble enough to bring in Booker at that late hour but I believe everybody, including Cronin, knew it was a gamble.

I do believe Booker has continued to improve this season. Maybe if he returns next year he can improve enough to significantly contribute in the role he was brought in to play. But right now it just seems like it's not working enough for Cronin to play him so he can continue to learn and improve while still trying to give his team their best chance at winning.

We'll see what Booker is made of. This could be devastating for some players and they could completely withdraw or even give up, while others may embrace the challenge and take up the gauntlet. We'll see who Booker is. I still believe he could be a really good player if he has the heart to find out.
