"You never want to lose one game, but I was pleased with the effort," ASU coach Bobby Hurley said. "I just want us to try to string together some wins. It goes to say a lot that we are losing to a team that played Arizona until the end and played well against Gonzaga. We just have to play good teams and get exposed and get punched in the mouth. Tonight, we kind of got punched in the mouth, but we will learn from this.”
"There were a couple of occasions where we felt like we were gaining momentum in the game and the chance to cut into their lead further but we had lapses on defense today, and it was pretty consistent throughout the game and you allow a team to shoot 14 out of 26 from 3, you're not going to win a lot of games like that," Hurley said. "We failed to get to shooters and lost them in transition. They always had a response."

"It was like playing cat and mouse," Meeusen said. "We have to spend so much energy to get back in the game, and we're there, and just a couple of things slip away, and they finished us. They're a good team. They just made shots."
One thing didn't happen last night that I was so looking forward to. I really was hoping Hurley would have a meltdown or two during the game and get ejected. He did so in ASU's last game, and he's done it before against us. Oh well, maybe next time. ;-)
