The Bench had a hell of a night: 28 points on 10 of 14 shooting. 10 of our 35 rebounds, including 6 of our 11 offensive boards. 4 of our 8 steals, 2 of our 4 blocks.

In 66 of the 200 available minutes.

The flipside 13 of our 24 fouls.

Wonder if they do so well in all those "hustle" stats (boards, steals, blocks), because they have the "freedom" of not worrying so much about foul trouble. Maybe. But, those 4 collectively had a very good game.

It's so weird how Daley has an on/off button from game to game. I don't think he just shows up with a different mindset from game to game - I think it's down to how the opponent plays him from game to game and how he figures in our game plan.

Which leads me to Clark. Part of Dailey's game is hitting threes. But, with Clark on the team, Skyy is going to get all the patterns that are designed to set someone up for an open three. Dude is lighting it up! I'm wondering what is the highest three pt % for a season a UCLA player has put up? Skyy is at 51.9%. You've got to set the patterns up so that he gets those shots. And, the fact that he's getting wide open shots, while Dailey is getting the leftovers, I'm sure is contributing to Dailey's low volume of 3 pt shots.

Interesting stat (to me), Jamar Brown is at 41% - just 3% higher than Dailey. But, Brown only shoots them when he's wide open. Dailey's are almost always under some kind of pressure.

Another interesting stat (to me), last night Dailey played 21 minutes, Brown played 20.

I love Brown's energy. Dailey had great energy too. I hope Cronin can find away to get Dailey the ball moving to the basket, either on cuts or drives. It's my impression that he's good at that.

OT: Big fan of last night's announcing team. Benetti, to me, is a clone of Joel Meyers who I'm a big fan of. And, I've been a big fan of Raftery since he started doing March Madness back in the early 90's.
