To me, our biggest issue is Dent, and not on defense or his ability to distribute the ball, but to score. He misses gimme layups (or he doesn’t take obvious ones). And he’s shooting 7% from 3 after a 40+% last year. His inability to score from the outside puts more pressure on our other players, IMO.
Then, in last night’s game, we again had 2 or 3 really lazy/poor passes that resulted in uick points for Gonzaga.
Where we’re on the same page is that this team is again underachieving expectations. But not all can be laid at Cronin’s feet. But without a resurgence in scoring ability from Dent, I’m not sure we do much better than what we’ve seen, despite some limitations over the middle.
One more quick point - Gonzaga has two great front court guys. Others do too, but most don’t.
