Came across a high school game on ESPN last night and it caught my attention since a school named Stepinac (sounds like somehing you take for an upset stomach) was playing which featured the twin 7-foot sons of Theo Ratliff, USC recruits.
I wasn't all that impressed. Between the two of them it looked like together they weighed as much as one college power forward. They also spent much of the game on the perimeter, not an optimal use of their height. The announcers compared them to the Mobley brothers and they could be . . . in several years . . . if they stayed in school that long. That's why I would take a 6-8 or 6-9 experienced transfer over two raw 7-footers.
