there's a great video of the game on youtube w/ the commercials cut out.

The path forward: Bilo defended their big the whole game. I think that's best. It seems like Booker and Jamerson don't have the mass to prevent being backed down on the block. The good thing is that both Booker and Jamerson are pretty good at the "help block." They will get some blocks on opposing bigs.

Our D on 1-3 was very good. Bradley, Burries, and Peat combined for 27 points against us and 41 against UConn.

We should get very good on O as the season. We've got three guys that can beat their defender and distribute, in Dent, Clark, and Perry. We've got 2 guys that can cut to the basket an flush it in Booker and Dailey and we've got 3 guys that are very good spot up shooters, if the guard kicks it out, in Bilo, Dailey, and Brown (40% on 3's last season). We should always have two guys on the court that can penetrate and pass, usually have 2 guys that can cut to the hoop, usually have 2 guys that can spot up. That's got to present a lot of challenges to an opposing defense. On that note, I've criticized Mick for us not feeding the bigs, other than on super static post-ups. The good news is that we're trying to do that now. The bad news is that I don't recall seeing us trying to post up once.

With Bilo out for a couple of weeks, I'd like to see us play Jamerson and Booker on the floor at the same time for a good number of minutes. Also, at first blush, they both seem to be surprisingly good passers.

To continue the discussion from below about our big man development, I've praised Savino (because I think that's who's in charge of the post game), but one continuing theme through Bona, Mara, and now Booker, is they've all been pretty poor at sealing.
