I guess it all depends on what your expectations were of the season coming in. One could say had the Bruins done this or that we win the game but the truth is Arizona didn’t play really well either. They had 15 turnovers of their own. The argument can be made they really beat us up if they take care of the ball and some of their freshmen have decent games.
I guess I’m really disappointed at how we lost the game. I expected us to play even with their frontcourt. I thought maybe Peat gets his but being that the rest of the frontcourt is not overly physical we’d be right there. Instead a 6’8 250 pounder got 10 boards. Our power forward got 2 rebounds. These are huge concerns and I just don’t see how we overcome them. Wait till we see some real physical guys upfront.
In addition I’m just not sure Arizona is that good yet. They’re getting a ton of credit for beating Florida but Florida hasn’t really looked great yet. Don’t be shocked if UCONN really puts it on Arizona this week.
I would love to be wrong on all these suppositions.
