Last yr, even when the ball handler (usually Andrews) curled around the pick, he would hardly ever pull up for an open jumper. Maybe Cronin doesn't like shooting off the dribble unless it's in the paint (Mack) ? Maybe UCLA uses the pick and roll only to shift the defense to create an open catch and shoot somewhere else ? It doesn't seem that it is intended for either the ball handler or roller to score.
