They’ve already outclassed #6 Oklahoma and #11 UNC without those two. Gardiner was our most reliable three-point shooter, and her return is really going to open up the interior for Betts in particular, though it’ll benefit everyone. I’m also really high on Sienna. I think she’ll contribute right away on an already stacked roster, even as a freshman. As good as Lauren is, I can see Sienna ultimately becoming the more complete player when it’s all said and done.
UCLA has looked strong, but we all know there’s a true top tier out there...the South Carolinas and UConns of women’s college basketball. We’ll see #4 Texas for sure and maybe #2 South Carolina. Much like the men’s team, we’ll have more answers soon.
Should be a fun ride.
