The full court pressure defense is physically draining. Cronin's tenacious defense already leaves his players often too gassed to play offense in the second half. Ever notice that Cronin teams tend to have frequent second half scoring droughts? I remember Tyger often getting the ball upcourt fast tempo in the first half, and then walking the ball up in the second half while the team struggled to score.
