A team's head coach is a weak story line. So we get to see the occasional cut to Rick Pitino on the sideline? Who cares.
UCLA had 11 national championships before UConn even had one. UConn isn't a legacy program yet, they are the new kid on the block. Other than in the Northeast, they don't have the brand recognition that UCLA does.
