Before the tourney, we were ranked 15, and after our loss to Tenn, we fell to 22 in the AP.
We struggled with not having a true PG and consistent 3-point shooting.
Losing Mack/Mara hurts, but if you feel the Dent fixes our biggest issue and trading two centers who both averaged only 13 minutes a game last year, there is reason to believe that we could be better with one more year for Clark, Dailey, Biodeau, and Stefanovic to be better. We might even get something from Perry, who was overwhelmed once we played conference play.
Mara played better than Booker last year, but Booker probably has more potential.
Some UCLA fans are dying over losing Mara's potential because his previous output was in spurts, inconsistent, and limited, but we are gaining someone with more potential with similar issues. At the very least, Booker is healthy, which is an upgrade on Mara.
Being in the 13 isn't unreasonable.
