They want a 3&d guy, and while he's really good defensively, his 3 pt shot has never been great, and at less than 32% for the year, isn't good enough.
I felt they needed to try to bring him along as Jimmy Butler Jr, and leverage the post play prowess he displayed (as well as his passing), but whenever I saw him play, they had him stuck waiting for the corner 3 90% of the time.
IMHO, they needed to use him in the post much more, but they did have Butler and Bam Adebayo, and when they traded Butler, they got back Wiggins and Kyle Anderson, both of whom can defend and hit 3's at a better rate.
I hope he gets to the point where he can be a Jimmy Butler type, but I fear he won't get an opportunity.
