"Nil" means "nothing or zero," but "NIL" can mean millions.
It's ruining college sports, at least for me. The University of
Colorado's quarterback drove a $100,000 car around campus.
Bill Walton drove a Volkswagen beetle.
Of course, when I watch - I ignore the money they're making and
just root for the Bruins like I always have. But it's not the same,
and it's unlikely it will be any better in the future.
Imagine if Alcindor or Walton or (Reggie) Miller were Bruins
again ... and what the bidding wars would look like.
I have shifted my interest and affection to women's college
basketball and softball.
