Not a whole lot going on with Bruin players in the NBA preseason. Here are some notes:
TJ Leaf has been starting for the Pacers in place of an injured Thaddeus Young and is in the top-5 in minutes played among all NBA players. He's averaging 11.7 points and 7.7 rebounds shooting 57%. Aaron Holiday got extended playing time in only one game but he scored 20 points (6-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), with three rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 25 minutes. Ike Anigbogu appeared in one game for 14 minutes.
Indiana plays at 5:00 P.M. Pacific tonight on ESPN.
Thomas Welsh is averaging nine minutes and 2.7 points a game for Denver.
Meanwhile, Bryce is getting a few minutes a game with OKC. Last night he entered the game with 3:28 remaining with the Thunder ahead by 6. He missed a three, had a turnover and then was fouled on a three and made all the free throws. But with 18 seconds left and a three point lead, he was fouled and missed the second shot which would have put them up by five. After an exchange of free throws by both teams, Tim Frazier hit a three right in Bryce's face with a second left to send the game to OT. That was bad news for Bryce since Deonte Burton, with whom Bryce is competing for a roster spot, hit three clutch threes in the OT to clinch the game for OKC.
