Aaron Holiday had a great start to his pro career scoring 8 points in the first 1:30 of the game. He ended up with 23. The only negatives were that he tried to force things with 6 turnovers and in the last few seconds trailing by three, he passed up a three point shot and passed to T.J. Leaf wide open under the basket and the clock ran out. But there was some indication that the scoreboard wasn't working.
Meanwhile, Leaf looked absolutely terrible shooting 2-14 and not coming close on most of them. He did not resemble at all the player we saw at UCLA or even some flashes with Indiana last season.
Bryce didn't play very much and did not take an outside shot. Steve was there watching.
Thomas Welsh played well his first game, made a three, had some nice assists and a block, but shot an airball from his favorite spot on the baseline late in a close game.
Indiana plays today at 12:30 Pacific on ESPN.
