This is such an ignorant post. You have no clue what the top and mid range AAU teams do. They practice and train 4-5 days a week. They aren’t in tourneys every week. They scrimmage against other comparable teams. They weight train, they work on their skills. Players play up ALL the time. They just have to be good enough. Thr AAU teams play small college teams during off season. They scrimmage against small college players all off-season.
Yes, we attend the bog tourneys in Vegas and Atlanta and DC, but they also play in local tourneys (oftentimes many years up) and competitions.
People like to bash AAU because it’s become popular to do so and AAU teams have become more ubiquitous. The reality is the top teams are well run and fantastic learning centers.
