Bona started out the last season with some focus on his outside game. It really didn't materialize to the extent that he could be relied upon out there while others manned the post. More importantly the post players couldn't produce much of anything to allow Bona to move outside. Still, with Bona playing mostly inside his game improvement as Cronin ran everything through him. Other guys play inside and out and Bona, under Cronin, could be one of those guys opening up everything for everyone including himself.
It's all moot if he has decided to leave, but the subject was Bona's improvement and that can happen IMO, both inside and out, at UCLA under Cronin. The proof is that we've already seen improvement both inside and out.
