First of all, I don't think he's wrong to go. On the other hand I also think he wouldn't be wrong to stay. But, if he did decide to stay and improved significantly in multiple areas and maybe even got stronger I believe his stock would rise significantly - maybe even into lottery status. The risk of course is that he plateaus or gets hurt, and for those reasons he isn't wrong to leave.
