two things - 2nd those calls about unfairness is calling a late foul almost always look at the offense's point of view - nice to see you speaking up from the pov of the defense
1st, she also extended an elbow that clipped the Iowa player in the head and neck area.
My first reaction was it was a really soft foul and I wondered why suddenly that call but the replays showed that leg and later the elbow.
Post game, the Iowa player said by sticking right on Beuckers' hip she was hoping to draw the illegal screen, hoping UConn would push it and commit the foul. Also liked Geno's comments which centered around the point that that foul call wasn't something they could control - he said they were all playing really hard and sometimes they call them and sometimes they don't - but the real problem he said was their failure to rebound the missed foul shot because that was something that was in their control.
