Sontag and Jones have regressed badly the last month or so - as we've discussed. Think the announcers are reflecting the reality that LSU is just 'way better to this point. We have to start hitting some shots to open this up.
2-17 from three - that will bury you - one reason is LSU is defending really well inside the three point line. Credit them - take away our strength and force us to try to beat them from outside. So far they win easily with that strategy. Most of the season - with Osborne, Rice, Dugalic, Jaquez, Sontag we could hit at least enough threes to affect the game - relieve pressure inside, score key points outside. With Jones in a horrific slump and Sontag really only playing well enough to serve as a sub up front (where is Iwuala?) and Osborne not scoring either lately, so far we haven't an answer.
