Yep. Leave as soon as possible is the correct answer almost every time. It’s strange because if you read o’Connors profile he seems like a very good prospect. He needs to get somewhere where they will work on his shooting. He’s has all the requisite athleticism to be a dynamic player, he just needs to learn to shoot. I don’t see that skill set being developed at icla. No way will Cronin allow him to showcase this skill set in games. I think Bunter Dickson ran into this problem as well. Coaches want to win and by allowing these kids to display the skills necessary to improve their draft stock it hinders their goals.
It’s a tough place to be for bigs.
