He's a good coach (although I think he coaches a lot of flopping).
However this year he needed to replace virtually all of the WSU roster. He brought in a bunch of transfers, several of which turned out to be REALLY good players.
Was it brilliant scouting or luck? Likely some of each, but he has been bringing in transfers throughout his time in Pullman, and never had this kind of success.
He's a good coach, but I am not sure he is a fit for the Stanford culture. One thing is certain. They will give him a lot of years to find out.
