is their first choice (now that Dusty May is off the board) but because of Drew's faith based philosophy, they believe he probably doesn't want to leave Baylor. That's where the Cronin rumors start. But I can't find anything that shows that Louisville has actually contacted or offered Cronin.

Louisville insider report also indicated that they believed that Cronin's buyout could be handled or worked around (whatever that means) and that Louisville's unlimited NIL and other resources would be very attractive to Cronin. LA sources in the know seem to believe that there is no way Cronin leaves this year, for several reasons. One is that his daughter is only a JR in HS in LA and he wouldn't want to move her until she graduates (that's just speculation by those sources though).

It would be nice to hear something concrete on the subject soon--confirm or deny the rumor. If Cronin would decide to leave (personally I don't believe that will happen), timing of his replacement would critical for UCLA. A long "search operation" would result in a precarious situation regarding current players (do some transfer or stay) and the potential to sign future "skilled" Portal players for the upcoming move to the BIG conference would be impacted.
