They aren't playing better than they were at the start of the season? How could they if they had all those "big" wins? You cite one bad game in December as your evidence? Their big wins weren't as significant as you imply. #2 Duke was way overrated. Michigan St was a 6th place team in the Big-10 and went 18-14. Wisconsin was 5th in the conference and went 3-8 in February and March.
Houston just got blown out by Iowa St. UConn got blown out by Creighton a few weeks ago. Purdue got blown out by Nebraska. Every team had a bad game. Arizona, as I pointed out, has played VERY well the last month or so.
You can make the disingenuous claim that they would lose to Purdue by 15+, but of course the only way they could meet is in the national championship game so you're fairly safe from being proven wrong.
Seeding is a subjective criteria by the committee. It depends a lot on what the other teams do. Just because they had Arizona rated 6th instead of 4th makes him another Lavin? Ridiculous.
