wee bit of understatement there, Phil.
But seriously, I feel like the SEC is overrated as a conference. Some pretty good individual teams but I don't know how tough they are overall. Actually thought Oregon would win this one.
Media gets really excited by teams from that area - big sports area - and I recall that GM decided to build the Saturn in Tennessee - Spring Hill, not far from Nashville - after analyzing where they build a factory to be able to most quickly be able to reach the most of the population by rail. Population centers around there - the northwestern spot of the SE region. So lots of stories about teams in that area. And lots of publicity. But I think after the two or three top teams, they are over-rated
